Behind Cocoon Pro 3:
Every Upgrade Had a Reason
When we started designing Cocoon Pro 3, we didn't ask ourselves, "What more can we add?"
We asked a simpler question:
How can bedtimeāand morningsāfeel easier?
Every decision, from the speaker system to the sound library to the clock display, was inspired by conversations with our customers. Through reviews, emails, and support feedback, we learned what people loved, what frustrated them, and what small improvements could make the biggest difference.
Here's the thinking behind our biggest upgrades.
Richer Sound, Without Turning Up the Volume
One request we heard time and again was simple: make the sound feel fuller.
Nature sounds aren't meant to be loud. They're meant to surround you. Rain should feel like it's falling outside your window. Ocean waves should ebb and flow naturally. Fan sounds should blend quietly into the background.
That's why Cocoon Pro 3 introduces a dual-speaker design.
Instead of simply increasing volume, dual speakers create a wider, richer soundstage with greater depth and clarity. The result is a more immersive listening experience that helps mask unwanted noise and makes every sound feel more natural.
Sometimes, better sleep starts with better sound.
Fewer Sounds. Better Choices.
One of the biggest changes in Cocoon Pro 3 might also be the most surprising.
Cocoon Pro 2 offered 388 built-in sounds.
Cocoon Pro 3 includes 117.
Why?
Many customers told us that while they appreciated having hundreds of options, they often returned to the same favorite sounds every night. At bedtime, the last thing anyone wants is to spend several minutes scrolling through a long list.
So instead of adding more, we carefully selected 117 of the most popular and frequently requested sounds from years of customer feedback.
The result is a thoughtfully curated library that's easier to explore, quicker to choose, and ready whenever sleep calls.
Less searching. More sleeping.
A Clock That's Easier to Read
Another piece of feedback surprised us.
Some customers told us the warm yellow clock display could be difficult to read, especially from across the room or in the early morning.
For Cocoon Pro 3, we made two meaningful improvements.
First, the clock display now uses crisp white digits, providing better contrast and clearer visibility in a variety of lighting conditions.
Second, the digits are now 40% larger than those on Cocoon Pro 2, making it much easier to check the time with just a quick glance.
It's a subtle redesign, but one you'll appreciate every single day.
Mornings Deserve More Kindness
We also heard from customers who wanted Cocoon to do more than help them fall asleepāthey wanted it to help them wake up, too.
That's why Cocoon Pro 3 introduces Gradual Volume Alarm.
Instead of sounding at full volume immediately, the alarm begins softly and gradually increases over the first 30 seconds until it reaches the volume you've set in the Hotmoon app.
The gentle fade-in gives your mind and body time to wake naturally, creating a calmer, more comfortable start to the day.
Need a few extra minutes?
Simply tap any button to snooze. No searching for a tiny snooze button while you're still waking up.
Small Changes That Feel Bigger Every Day
On paper, Cocoon Pro 3 doesn't look dramatically different.
It's still the bedside companion designed to help you relax, sleep deeply, and wake refreshed.
But the experience feels different.
Finding a favorite sound takes less time.
The audio fills the room more naturally.
The clock is easier to read.
Mornings begin more gently.
These are the kinds of improvements that may seem small on a spec sheetābut you'll notice them every single day.
Designed Around Real Life
At Hotmoon, we believe great products aren't defined by the number of features they have.
They're defined by how naturally they fit into your life.
Cocoon Pro 3 wasn't designed to impress with a longer feature list.
It was designed to solve the little frustrations our customers shared with us, creating a sleep experience that feels simpler, more intuitive, and more enjoyable from bedtime to morning.
Every upgrade had a reason.
And every reason started with listening.
